The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it will hold a public meeting on October 21, 2019, to hear from a broad cross-section of stakeholders on a modern approach, called “A New Era of Smarter Food Safety,” that the agency is planning to take to strengthen its protection of the food supply.
